Nivelamento Online is selected for the Mariana Labs acceleration program

The Nivelamento Online app, developed by Exatamente Soluções Educacionais, is among the three projects selected to participate in the Mariana Labs acceleration program, focused on developing innovative businesses with the aim of driving businesses that want to contribute to solving challenges experienced by the municipality of Mariana/MG.

Mariana Labs is an online business acceleration program that seeks to generate opportunities for the development of new innovative and sustainable businesses. The program is developed by the Renova Foundation in partnership with the Wylinka organization.

The problem faced by the education system in Mariana lies in low scores on the Basic Education Development Index (IDEB), in addition to the population dropout that goes to higher education in other cities. In the last census conducted by the Brazilian Institute of Geography and Statistics (IBGE) in 2010, only 7.32% of the population had higher education. The rates have been rising over the last decade, and currently, 14% of the population is enrolled in some higher education course, but the range of courses offered is still low, causing the professional exodus of these inhabitants. Despite promising numbers, basic education in Mariana is still concerning, as the final years of elementary school have a score of 4.5 (IDEB, 2019) compared to 6.2 (IDEB, 2019) in the initial years.

Nivelamento Online

Nivelamento Online was registered as a possible solution for education in Mariana. The app is a gamified system of questions and answers aimed at increasing the motivation and results of students. It features videos, tips, missions, a progression system, awards, and rankings, aiming to improve engagement and consequently the performance of the student player throughout the resolution of questions. In this way, it assists in learning, provides challenges, and interactivity.
