An academic article on CriptoNio, our gamified learning application, ranked 2nd in the Best Short Paper award in the Education track at the XXI Brazilian Symposium on Games and Digital Entertainment, or SBGames 2022, the largest event of its kind in the country.
SBGames 2022 is an international conference on electronic games, whose latest edition took place in the city of Natal-RN in November 2022. The event, organized by the Brazilian Computer Society (SBC), brought together researchers, developers, and electronic game companies from around the world to discuss and present the latest trends and developments in the gaming industry.
SBGames 2022 aimed to promote knowledge exchange and collaboration among different scientific and business communities involved in the electronic gaming industry. During the conference, lectures, debates, and working sessions were held on topics related to electronic games, including innovations in areas such as artificial intelligence, virtual and augmented reality, games for educational and therapeutic purposes, and much more.
One of the highlights of SBGames 2022 was the presentation of innovative and high-quality games developed by students and professionals in the gaming industry. The game showcase included games for computers, game consoles, mobile devices, and other platforms, and the games were evaluated by a jury composed of experts and professionals from the gaming industry.
SBGames 2022 also included a series of workshops and working sessions where participants could learn about new techniques and tools for electronic game development. These sessions were led by experts and industry leaders, offering participants the opportunity to enhance their skills and knowledge.
CriptoNio
CriptoNio is an evolution of Nivelamento Online, incorporating new technology, features, and content, with rewards in cryptocurrencies. It is a game for PC and mobile with a question and answer system, including tips, videos, custom missions, level progression system, multiplayer, performance reports, and rankings, aiming to engage the player and increase their knowledge to perform well in the ENEM (National High School Exam). The game allows players to be remunerated in the form of cryptocurrencies, depending on their performance and frequency in activities.
